ALPACAS

DISCOVER MORE ABOUT ALPACAS

Because alpaca's natural colors are not dyed, environmental concerns associated with the dyeing process are reduced. Alpaca fiber is available in a variety of natural colors. White, light fawn, light camel, camel, light brown, brown, grey, brown/black, and black are the nine pure colors, with many other minor tints and hues. As a result, alpaca fiber can be blended into an unlimited variety of natural hues, as well as combinations that do not occur naturally, eliminating the use of artificial dyes and saving significant amounts of water and energy. The water used in the washing of alpaca fiber uses fewer chemicals and energy than water used in the washing of other animal fibers.
